Joy - from The Immortal Rann

Dear Mortals,

I have spoken on occasion about duality, cause and effect.  Since this is so easily understood amongst mortals by way of life and death, I would like to use it as a format to bring to light the subject of joy.
If you are choosing to exist in duality, your options are joy and non joy.   Are you in anger? Are you in sadness?  Are you in anxiety?  Are you in depression?  Do you consider these things to be joy?  These things are not joy, yet many of you choose them instead of joy.

"For many mortals, joy is on a spectrum of color that cannot be seen by the human eye. Even so, it still present."

"Amongst all of the surrounding mortal interferences, choose joy again and again and again. Do this, and you will find yourself on the path of immortality."

"Amongst all of the surrounding mortal interferences, choose joy again and again and again. Do this, and you will find yourself on the path of immortality."

To immortals the choice of mortality is ultimately not sane.  So many of you have chosen the limitation of mortality, yet spend your lives resisting death.  To break our immortal logic down further- in order to perpetrate insanity (i.e. mortality), one must maintain insane choices.  These choices of insanity are all components of non joy.  One may think that it’s necessary to endure these components, but insanity is not necessary.
Look at non joy and everything that it is.  When truly studying non joy, you will realize that you don’t really want to lose certain elements because they hold relevance.  What would it mean if someone didn’t hurt you the way they hurt you so many years ago?  What would happen to you now if you no longer rooted your identity into that event?  What would it mean if you couldn’t hold on to anything?

This is in league with the idea of un attachment and indifference.  So many of you see these things as judge-able offenses.  You see them as not caring.  Mortals, you may choose what you choose.  I don’t care what you choose.  I really don't care.  But for those of you who would choose immortality, I will tell you that a key to surmounting the insanity in your mortal duality is to discover all of the non joy that you have deemed as joyful.  Non joy is everywhere.  It’s pervasive.  It’s minute and it’s grand.
Do you like happiness?  Do you have happiness?  If you don’t have happiness, then what is making you unhappy?  What is so much stronger than you are that can make you unhappy?
I hear it all the time, “This makes me unhappy because…”  or “ This makes me feel unhappy because…”  If it makes you unhappy and it makes you feel that way, and you understand what all of the “becauses” are, then why do you choose them again and again and again?  This, dear mortals, is insanity.  Insanity is expecting change to occur without your having to change.  If you were immortal, what would you choose?

Your options in duality are joy and everything else.  Are you willing to choose the joy that no one else will choose?  Are you willing to choose the happiness when everyone else may scowl at you for having it?  Are you willing to be the light that others abhor following?  Are you willing to be the shining one that others attempt to tear down?

"But for those of you who would choose immortality, I will tell you that a key to surmounting the insanity in your mortal duality is to discover all of the non joy that you have deemed as joyful. Non joy is everywhere. It’s pervasive. It’s minute and it’s grand. "

What is joy?  Joy is beyond everything that is unhappiness.  Joy is beyond limitation and restriction.  Joy is beyond reason and doubt.  Joy is beyond critical thinking.  Joy is an essence.  Joy is not a smile on your face.  Joy is a peace.  Joy is greatness.  Joy is balance.  Joy is never having to remind yourself that you need to gain perspective.  Joy truly is beyond all duality.  Non joy is duality, for joy itself cannot be drawn in to either or battles.
For many mortals, joy is on a spectrum of color that cannot be seen by the human eye. Even so, it still present.  It may be sensed in a behavior, in a state of mind, and in a state of being.  It is serenity that is reflected in the face and in the body and in the fields that surround the body.  Joy is imperturbable, and thus indivisible by duality.

Amongst all of the surrounding mortal interferences, choose joy again and again and again.  Do this, and you will find yourself on the path of immortality.

                                                                                          With Eternal Joy,

                                                                                          The Immortal Rann
